Carbon Reduction Plan
Supplier Name: PSI Services (UK) Limited
Publication Date: 24 October 2025
1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
PSI Services (UK) Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been developed to reflect our organisation’s recognition that climate change is one of the most significant challenges facing society today. We acknowledge that our operations, supply chain, and long term resilience are all influenced by the evolving impacts of a changing climate. We also recognise that our activities contribute to climate change. As such, we have a responsibility to understand and reduce our climate impact, while simultaneously strengthening our ability to adapt to future climate risks.
2. Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases (GHGs) that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

| Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations. These baseline emissions are based on calculations covering the period of our financial year 1 April 2024 – 31 March 2025. This is an updated baseline. We have previously undertaken an assessment of our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions using 2022 as a baseline year. However, this is no longer an accurate calculation because of significant organizational changes, including a restructuring due to PSI's acquisition by ETS in January 2024. As such, we have updated our baseline, which now incorporates a more complete measurement of our Scope 3 emissions - giving a more accurate representation of our carbon footprint and providing a more useful foundation from which to set targets. Emissions for both this baseline year and current reporting year are calculated in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and the BEIS Environmental Reporting Guidelines. |

3. Emissions Reduction Targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we’ve adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 876.54 tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of 30% and is in line with our Net Zero target for 2050.
We intend to submit our near-term and long-term targets to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for validation.
4. Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
As a remote-first organization, we have embedded sustainability into our operating model and service delivery. Although we have recently updated our baseline year to reflect our current organizational structure and provide a more accurate emissions profile, we have consistently implemented measures to reduce our carbon footprint. For instance:
- Adopted a 100% remote working model, eliminating daily commute-related emissions and reducing reliance on physical office space.
- Introduction of multi-modal and remote testing services, reducing emissions associated with test-taker travel and minimizing the need for physical testing facilities.
- Rolled out digitized assessment results for all candidates, significantly decreasing paper use. Since January 2024, the digitalisation of test results (627,224 tests delivered) has delivered carbon savings of approximately 3136.12 kgCO2e.
- Achieved and maintained ISO 14001 environmental management accreditation since 2019.
- Implemented comprehensive recycling programs across all test center locations, supported by staff training and ongoing monitoring.
- Eliminated single-use plastics from all UK test centers.
- Ensure all air-conditioning units across our test center network undergo annual efficiency servicing to minimize unnecessary energy consumption.
- Added sustainable-travel guidance to our test takers’ booking journey, displaying public transport links to encourage low-carbon travel to test centers.
- Rolled out annual global Environmental Sustainability training, progressing from core concepts to PSI-specific content and role-based ‘Aspects and Impacts’ activities.
Future Carbon Reduction Initiatives
Building on our progress, we are committed to implementing further improvements that support our long-term aim of achieving Net Zero emissions:
- Revamping our business travel policy, prioritizing virtual engagement and ensuring that any essential travel uses the lowest-carbon options available.
- Introducing incentives to encourage employees to transition to renewable home energy, aligned with our remote-first model.
- Enhancing supplier requirements by embedding stricter carbon reporting and reduction commitments into procurement processes, with a particular focus on high-impact categories.
- Expanding our energy-saving principles to UK data center usage, consolidating services and transitioning to 100% renewable-powered hosting environments.
- Working with landlords across our TCN to support energy retrofits, improved insulation, and switching to green energy providers.
- Regular environmental awareness sessions to reinforce smart electrical usage, responsible recycling, and sustainable working practices.
5. Declaration and Sign Off
In developing this plan, we undertook a comprehensive assessment of our environmental impact, with a particular focus on understanding our GHG emissions and the areas where targeted action can drive meaningful change. Our intention was not simply to document emissions data, but to embed climate awareness into our strategic thinking.
This Carbon Reduction Plan ultimately represents our commitment to responsible environmental stewardship and to taking tangible steps that contribute to a more sustainable future. By outlining our emissions baseline, current actions, and the further measures we plan to implement, we aim to ensure transparency and accountability on our climate journey.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard1 and uses the appropriate government emission conversion factors for GHG company reporting.2
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements (where required), and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.3
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by Janet Garcia, CEO of PSI Services (UK) Limited.
