Scan a QR code during your test Check-In Process

Use your phone to complete a room scan

Position your phone to act as a second camera (horizontally) throughout your testing session

That’s it. A Check-In Specialist will guide you through the process, so you are never on your own.

What you will need

To get ready, make sure you have:

A smartphone is required

Tablets are not allowed as second cameras. We recommend using a phone with an Operating System iOS 12 or higher (check Settings > General > About) or Android 8 or higher (check Settings > About Phone > Software Info).

Power source for phone

Your phone must be plugged into a power source for the duration of the session, as your phone will need to stay powered on throughout your testing session.

Phone stand or tripod

A stable way to position and hold your phone horizontally, such as: Phone stand, Tripod, or use a stable, heavy, unmarked object that can support your phone, such as an empty mug. These objects and your setup will be reviewed and approved by your Check-In Specialist during the test check-in process.

Reliable internet connection

A reliable internet connection is necessary to complete the Check-In Process.

How to set up your second camera

Your Check-In Specialist will confirm everything looks good before your test begins.

01

During your check-in process, scan the QR code using your phone and allow access to your camera and microphone

02

Position your phone, place it 2–4 feet to the side of your computer, turn it sideways (horizontally), in landscape mode

03

Make sure your laptop or computer screen, your hands, and your side profile are clearly visible
