Your space should be private so that no one can interrupt you during your test.

You will be required to conduct a room scan upon admission.
This will consist of a 360 degree pan around the room, show under the desk or table if applicable, and under the laptop or keyboard and mouse.
During your session, the proctoring software will attempt to detect your face throughout the session.
Sometimes, the system will not recognize your face even if you are sitting in front of your webcam. Many things can cause this to occur such as:
- Poor lighting (e.g., too dark, too bright, angled)
- Angle of camera (e.g., webcam is not head on)
- Large or reflective glasses
- Long hair (e.g., bangs/fringe covering eyes)
For lighting and camera angle it is best to have direct lighting in front of you:
Soft, even light from the front
Backlit, face in shadow
