4. Can I cancel and/or reschedule my test appointment via the PSI Website?

Accepted Answer

Many test appointments can be canceled and/or rescheduled through logging in to your account. Typically, we allow you to schedule 1 day prior if space is available and we require 2 business days to reschedule your exam without penalty. Check with your sponsor&#8217;s FAQ or Candidate Information Bulletin for your program’s particular rescheduling rules if applicable.

5. How long will it take for my eligibility or authorization to test to be downloaded into the system so that I can schedule an appointment to test?

Please note that not all Licensing Authorities/Sponsors require eligibility to take their exam, therefore, you may be able to test immediately. For those programs requiring eligibility, the files are downloaded and test appointment scheduling is available within 24-48 hours of receiving authorization from the licensing authority.

7. How do I obtain the appointment date and time I want to take my exam?

When you go to our website or speak to a representative from our Candidate Service Center you will be asked to provide your preferred test date. The first available time slot on that date will be offered to you. If your preferred appointment date is not available, you will see available sessions online, and/or a Candidate Service Center representative will work with you to identify a convenient appointment date.

8. If my test center closes for severe weather or a local emergency, what should I do?

In rare cases weather or an emergency forces a test center closure. If this happens you will be contacted by the PSI rescheduling department within 24-48 hours to reschedule your appointment. We apologize for any inconvenience.

A brief security check will be completed by test center staff to ensure you are not in possession of prohibited devices prior to beginning your test.Personal items are not permitted in the testing room. PSI test centers will provide secure, lockable storage (lockers or locker bags; dependent on location) in which items can be placed. Electronic items must be powered off prior to being placed in the lockable storage locations. Requirements include a web camera, speakers, microphone, and stable broadband internet connection. Please go through the compatibility check on our scheduling website.If you need assistance during your exam, you should initiate a chat with the online test administrator using the in exam chat tool.No conversing or any other form of communication is permitted once your exam has been released.You are prohibited from reproducing, communicating or transmitting any test content in any form for any purpose. What happens if the test taker does not have a valid photo identification?

Providing a photo identification is a requirement to enter the test. If the test taker does not have a current and valid photo Identification, they will be asked to reschedule the test and will not allowed to sit for the test on that day.

How does the test taker reschedule their test after a technical issue?‍‍

If after troubleshooting with the technical support agent the issues are still unresolved, the test taker will be transferred to candidate services who will assist with rescheduling. An incident report will be completed by the proctor and the test taker should follow up with their test sponsor.

Are the test takers required to have a webcam or mic to take a test?

Yes, a webcam and mic are a requirement to take a proctored test.

Where are the specific sponsor admission and/or testing rules located?

Test takers will read/accept the admission testing rules during check-in along with the sponsor’s Terms & Conditions prior to the proctor releasing the exam.

Does the test taker still complete the 360-degree room scan?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the test taker will still complete a room scan viewing all the walls, floor and desk around them before the test taker is released the test.

What is the compatibility check and the security check?

Accepted Answer

The compatibility check cheques the webcam, microphone, browser, JavaScript, and cookies, this is not configurable per organisation.The security check is configurable per organisation. The system cheques for prohibited processes running behind the scenes, which must be closed out during the security check.

What are the bandwidth requirements?

The required bandwidth to run PSI Bridge is 300 kbps. There is no exception to this bandwidth requirement. (This is tested by connecting to the streaming service used by PSI Secure Browser, not the users upload, download or connection to a local internet speed test.)
